YLaw Wins Globe and Mail’s Top 400 Fastest Growing Companies
2020 has been a strange, exhilarating and surreal year for YLaw. One of the biggest honours YLaw has ever achieved is being placed as No. 139 on The Globe and Mail’s Top 400 Fastest Growing Companies in Canada.

YLaw the only BC Law Firm to Win the Award
YLaw was the only law firm from BC to make this national list, and the only female-led law firm in the country to receive this award.
To receive this award during a pandemic and while raising an infant makes it that much more special for me.
This award is the product of years of sleepless nights and relentless days spent on believing in one dream: that I can change the way law firms are run. I can bring health and happiness to our law firm culture. I can treat our clients like they are my family. I can bring health to a notoriously unhealthy profession. And I do not need to be ashamed of it.
331% Growth in 3 Years
My dream came through this year when I received an email from the incredibly prestigious Globe and Mail, notifying me that YLaw has won this ranking. I was also invited to an interview and photoshoot. After the initial shock, I found the courage to reply and of course, accept the invitation.
To my shock, The Globe and Mail had picked my company and a handful of others from the 400 list to profile. This was just icing on an already delicious cake that I did not expect to receive.
When the article came out and I saw my pictures and write-up, the last 10 years of my life flashed before my eyes. My hands started shaking and I choked up crying.
I proudly shared the article with the firm, family and friends, but before anything else, I knew and still know:
I would be absolutely nothing without the love and support of this incredible group of people I work with, my family who has stood by me through thick and thin, and my baby who has made me keep sane during this pandemic.
Thank you, thank you, thank you all our clients, peers and fans for helping us grow. We could not do it without you.
