Harry is a litigator and advocate, and his practice ranges from family law to strata and general civil litigation. Harry’s foremost goal is always to ensure that you’re the driver of your own litigation by giving you the tools and knowledge to make your own informed decisions. Harry frequently appears in the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Harry was born and raised in the Lower Mainland and is a first-generation Canadian. As a result, he understands the nuances of cultural differences that lawyers and courts sometimes simply overlook. Harry takes the time to listen and understand your cultural differences to fight and get you better outcomes.

Harry is occasionally accompanied by Moose, his working paw-fessional chocolate Labrador. And yes, Moose is a good boy.

Harry is easy to reach, and he’ll respond within days rather than weeks while you work together to resolve your matter. Harry takes pride in supporting clients, and he aims to build long-term relationships.

APPROACH

It’s rare when two or more parties enter litigation and get exactly what they want. Life is about making compromises, and the law is no different.

Harry’s approach in any matter is simple: (1) figure out the issues; (2) listen to what everyone wants; and (3) work collaboratively to get results. If collaborative discussions fail, then Harry will go to court and fight on your behalf.

Harry’s success is largely attributed to setting up realistic expectations, and then meeting or exceeding those expectations. Harry sets expectations early in the litigation process to avoid unreasonable positions or unfavourable outcomes. Harry also keeps his clients constantly informed about their files because life is ever-changing, and situations are always fluid and evolving. As a natural consequence, Harry revisits expectations on an ongoing basis to make sure there are no unexpected surprises later on.

Harry is a strong advocate for out-of-court resolution, and he considers court a last resort. Court is a significant financial burden, it’s unnecessarily stressful because gives complete decision-making control to someone else, and it pushes litigants further into conflict. In contrast, collaborative discussions put the decision-making power into client hands, it is cheaper, and it can provide immediate results.
